Jo Hagan, CPA
Jo Hagan is the visionary and founder behind Barefoot Accounting, PA. Jo has a degree from Auburn University with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting, and in 1998 earned her CPA. With the need for flexible employment to care for her 2 young children, Jo decided to become an entrepreneur and started her accounting practice. In 2002, Barefoot Accounting became incorporated, and soon after Jo and her family relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. As time passed, her children grew, and her business evolved to support others heading down a similar path of balancing work and family life. As a mom, wife, and business owner, Jo can relate first-hand to the struggles of starting a business, growing a business, relocating, and re-establishing a business – all while raising a family. Jo’s passion is centered on helping people understand – and use – their financial resources to be successful in both life and business.
Rebecca Rosseland, Quickbooks/Online Accountant
Rebecca Rosseland was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. After graduating high school, Becky moved to Florida where she met her husband and soon after started a family. For over ten years, she worked with Publix Super Markets, Inc., starting as a cashier. She worked her way to Publix’s back office where she balanced the total store cash at the beginning and end of the day and was promoted to Customer Service Manager toward the end of her tenure there. Becky also worked for a few small businesses, performing bookkeeping and cash flow management. In 2011, Becky met Jo Hagan through a mutual friend, and shortly thereafter she was offered a position with the Barefoot Accounting, PA team in which she could work around her children and their schedules. Through Barefoot Accounting, PA, Becky achieved her Quickbooks certification and State of Florida Notary, in which she continues to maintain today. In her spare time, Becky loves to spend time with her family, go to the beach, knit/crochet, craft, read, and spend time on the farm back home in Wisconsin.
Deborah Hagan, Analytical Accountant
Debbie Hagan has lived in the Jacksonville area since 1983. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Brenau College and a Masters of Health Administration from the University of North Florida. For almost 34 years, Debbie was a Senior Systems Analyst with Florida Blue, working primarily on regulatory projects in Information Technology. Debbie retired from Florida Blue in 2017, and joined the Barefoot Accounting, PA team in 2019 to keep her mind active and analytical skills sharp. Debbie enjoys quilting, reading, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
